I photographed Silvia and Matt’s destination wedding last year on the big island of Hawaii, you can see their wedding pictures here. Stunning bride and groom. I was so excited when they contacted me about doing a trash the dress session in the ocean. Both of them were fantastic in the water, and I love the way Silvia’s wedding dress flowed in the water for these dream like shots.
DECEMBER WEDDINGS
I really love my job, I shot 2 weddings this past week and they were both so different but amazing at the same time. The first was a military wedding at Waimea Valley, and the second wedding was at Turtle Bay Resort where the whole wedding party went surfing after the wedding in their clothes. I will be posting more photos from both of these weddings after things slow down. I still have two water shoots and a trash the dress session in Maui, and that is before Christmas.
ISABELLA & RYAN : WAIMEA BAY TRASH THE DRESS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – NORTH SHORE OAHU HAWAII
A few days after the Sunset beach ceremony, I met up with Isabella and Ryan at Waimea Bay for some underwater pictures. I still can’t believe she jumped off the rock in her dress! It made for some fun photos and they are a beautiful couple. Often these kinds of sessions are called “trash the dress” sessions, but I think there’s got to be a better phrase out there- anybody know one?
TRACI & ADAM : UNDERWATER ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY : HALEIWA HAWAII
Had a great time photographing Traci and Adam. We started off in Haleiwa and worked our way down the North Shore until we made it to Sunset Beach. I was so excited when they said they wanted to jump off the rock at Waimea Bay, it makes for great pictures in the morning. Traci’s brides maids happened to be in town during our engagement shoot and came along to help out, they even got in the water at the end. I look forward to shooting Traci and Adam’s wedding at Waimea Valley in December. Congratulations!
FAN & SU : WAIKIKI HAWAII WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographing Fan and Su was a new experience for me. They contacted me from Taiwan where they got married, but wanted to get some amazing Hawaii wedding pictures while they were staying in Waikiki. Neither of them spoke much English and I only know about two words of Mandarin. Surprisingly with very few words we were able to get some beautiful shots on the beaches of Waikiki, and I think we both had a great time. 谢谢
