THE RELL SUNN ANNUAL MENEHUNE SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP : MAKAHA, HAWAII SURF
Had an amazing weekend at the Rell Sunn Menehune contest in Makaha. Both of my kids surfed with me this year, have to thank JJ for getting some shots of us. Also have to thank everyone in Halau Nalu for making this such a fun event for our kids. Congratulations to all our keiki who entered and competed this year!
HAWAIIAN SURFER : NORTH SHORE OAHU
One of Halau Nalu’s talented Hawaiian surfers Kahia Walker surfs on a traditional Hawaiian surfboard called a Kiko’o. It’s kinda like the Alaia just a little thicker and heavier. He is also wearing traditional malo and haku, and on top of that he is fluent in Hawaiian. Congratulations and good luck at Kamehameha this year.
