Nothing is as fun as finding a way to give back to one’s community. I am very lucky to have found such a good organization like Halau Nalu that lets me combine my two loves photography and surfing. Halau Nalu is a Laie based keiki surf club that is headed by Isaiah and Rebecca Walker with a lot of support and involvement from all of the kids parents. I was so excited when they offered to bring me to Hilo to document their annual surf contest at Honoli’i. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the kids, they are such a talented group.
