Even with the rain this was a beautiful day for a wedding. I had so much fun photographing Rachel and Lokahi’s wedding at Moli’i Gardens. The music was excellent and the MC was off the charts. Congratulations Rachel and Lokahi.
Check out the beauty that is Kim and Bart’s beach wedding. They were marred at Loulu Palm Estates, a very nice venue on the North Shore of Oahu. What an amazing location to have a sunset wedding. Kim carefully put together the color scheme and designed the tent embellishments with the great wedding planner, Milestone Events Hawaii. The flowers were by Flower Farm. they did a great job with the arch and bouquet. The decor was well chosen with white leather couches, glass beading, and other stylish touches. I love the glow and joy that totally radiates off of this couple in the pictures.
This was an incredible backyard wedding at Sunset Beach on the North Shore of Hawaii. Besides the stunning style of the couple and her awesome dress, I could really see a ton of happiness in this group- I think you’ll see that in the pictures, everyone had huge smiles and all of that joy and energy made choosing which pictures to post challenging. Meghan and Mike had about 50 people come from the mainland to Hawaii for their destination wedding. Congratulations Meghan and Mike, and thank you for having me photograph your wedding, it was an honor.
Meghan and Mike came from California for a destination wedding in Hawaii. A few days before their wedding we set out for a pre wedding surf session on the north shore. I had a lot of fun photographing Meghan and Mike in the water, they are both talented surfers. Check back in a day or so to see photos from their wedding, it was an amazing wedding to photograph.
I had a great time photographing Silvia & Matt’s destination wedding at the Royal Kona Resort, located on the ocean in Kona Hawaii. Silvia’s family came all the way from Germany, it was so fun the have the European vibe there and they had so much style. You can just tell from the wedding dress Silvia chose. This is the first time photographing a wedding at the Royal Kona Resort. Its a great location for a wedding in Kona and the sunset was amazing.

She has an amazing eye for style which is why it was cool when she posted the cake & skate shoot that I did with Pat and Carrie on the Laie Point here in Hawaii. This is what’s left of one of Laie’s landmarks. I was on my way home from a photo shoot and decided to jump out and snap a shot as this little inn came down. When I set up my tripod to take some shots, I was surprised when my van was surrounded by 4 cop cars. I asked what was going on and they said they had received a call that a guy was loading a gun in his van across from Laie Inn. Either someone mistook my camera for an assault weapon, or someone didn’t want me taking the photos, or someone was playing a practical joke. I don’t know, but it made for an adventurous photo op.
I’ve known Rob for over 10 years now. We’re basically brothers. I was so excited to hear he was asking the girl of his dreams to marry him. A few hours before the big moment, he called and asked if I could hide out in some trees and capture his proposal on film. He chose a beautiful beach in Laie to ask Kelley to marry him. It was a beautiful day in Hawaii to get engaged.
