PAUL + CAITI : HAWAII ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS – NORTH SHORE OAHU

I love working with other artist, Paul is a musician and a wood worker and Caiti works in the fashion industry. Both very talented in and out of the water. It was one of those perfect days, we had lots of sun and the sea was happy. Look forward to photographing their wedding at Laulu Palm on the North Shore of Oahu in October.

TRANSCEND : JON MOZO STORY

Devin Graham and the Mozo family just came out with the well done trailer for Transcend : the Jon Mozo story. I didn’t get the chance to meet Jon, except through his family, who have been friends here in Hawaii. I have a lot of respect and love for Jon though. He was an incredible ocean and surf photographer and his images inspire me. Can’t wait for the full movie to come out, enjoy this powerful trailer. Picked up another water housing this last week for my DSLR. Just in time for a trash the dress session tomorrow. Here are a few photos from my first time taking it out on the North Shore shooting surfers at V-land. I love the guys smile coming out of the barrel.

DECEMBER WEDDINGS

I really love my job, I shot 2 weddings this past week and they were both so different but amazing at the same time. The first was a military wedding at Waimea Valley, and the second wedding was at Turtle Bay Resort where the whole wedding party went surfing after the wedding in their clothes. I will be posting more photos from both of these weddings after things slow down. I still have two water shoots and a trash the dress session in Maui, and that is before Christmas.

MEGHAN & MIKE : PRE WEDDING SURF PHOTOGRAPHY – NORTH SHORE OAHU HAWAII

Meghan and Mike came from California for a destination wedding in Hawaii. A few days before their wedding we set out for a pre wedding surf session on the north shore. I had a lot of fun photographing Meghan and Mike in the water, they are both talented surfers. Check back in a day or so to see photos from their wedding, it was an amazing wedding to photograph.

RELL SUNN MENEHUNE CONTEST : MAKAHA HAWAII SURF PHOTOGRAPHY

This last weekend I took the family to the Rell Sunn Menehune contest at Makaha on the west side of Oahu. We had an incredible time and saw some amazing surfers. The contest was for kids from 4 to 12, it was crazy to see these kids charge waves that were at lest twice their height. I really love being a surf/ water photographer, during the contest I was able to be in the water with the kids and shoot them up close, I also got a few shots from the beach with my telephoto lens. A big congratulations to Jordan, she got 5th place in her age division, that is a huge accomplishment for how big the waves were that she had to surf. She is in the seventh picture down.
