I photographed Josh & Lynne and the cool thing about it was that their wedding was on Waimea Bay beach. The state doesn’t give out many permits for Waimea beach weddings, but this couple got one. We had a lot of fun shooting at Shark’s Cove and Ke Iki beaches too. They were glowing and having a genuinely good time with each other. How fun to be married with sand and surf at your feet, wind in your hair, sun on your face, and palm trees all around.
Wow it has been a long time since I have had a chance to sit down and blog. This last month has been crazy and I will be posing a lot of my recent work in this next few week plus a photo tip or two. But first I wanted to get these wedding pictures of Melissa and Matt up. I had a great time shooting with them, we went all over the North Shore of Oahu, and scored a beautiful sunset.
Jaynie and Derek are a super chic and hip young couple. The beautiful pair is from Los Angeles, CA and decided to tie the knot here in beautiful Hawaii, and at the Loulu Palm Estate, which is a beautiful all-inclusive wedding locale situated on the North Shore of Oahu. I had a great time shooting this young and cool couple. I have to say that this wedding was very, very fun, and it definitely shows in the photographs. Congratulations to Jaynie and Derek. Sam and Verdi are both from Taiwan and while visitinging beautiful Oahu, Hawaii on a business/vacation trip, they opted to take their pre-wedding photographs . These photos were taken at Sunset Beach Point, located on the North Shore of Oahu. This couple was completely enamored with one another as is obvious in their photographs. I had an amazing time photographing this beautiful couple: Tracy and Andrew. It was really cool watching two different families from the opposite sides of the world join together into one complete family. Tracy and her family are from Canada, and Andrew and his family are from Australia. This wedding was located at the Loulu Palm Estate, located on the North Shore of Oahu, and it was a fantastic venue for a wedding ceremony and reception. They include all the amenities one could want for an amazingly beautiful wedding, including a secluded private beach. One of the perks of being a wedding photographer is that I have the opportunity to eat many different types of delicious food at beautiful receptions, and the caterer from this wedding was unbelievable. The food was amazing. Congratulations to the happy couple! And thank you for the opportunity of being apart of your wedding. It was beautiful.

I had an amazing time shooting Kerri and Mark’s wedding at the bungalows. They had such a fun group fly in from the east cost. And what a beautiful place to stay and have a wedding. You can check out their site out at www.keikibeach.com. love shooting here, the long sandy beach makes for a great back drop. I would recommend this venue to anyone. However in the winter time you do loose some of the beach from the big surf.

I had a fabulous time photographing Marcela and Kyle at Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu. They were spontaneous so we ended up doing some ocean shots and getting a little wet. They were such a photogenic couple- Marcela’s dress was beautiful. They were exuding happiness. Congratulations! I love the way these pictures turned out. This beautiful couple traveled from California to wed in Kailua, Hawaii. Their wedding was a stylish, fun time and I was lucky to be a part of their intimate wedding. I love sunset weddings- it’s always stunning. I worked with wedding planner, Kiana Washington- who is a fabulous up and coming wedding planner. This is the second wedding I’ve worked with her on and it has been a great experience. Congratulations Olivia and Dexter! I enjoyed every second with both of you, along with your family and friends.
This was the last wedding that I photographed at the Laie Temple before it closed for a year to be renovated. The night before their wedding there was an island wide power outage and it was rainy. Umbrella’s seem to add a fun touch to wedding pictures though. Sharlie and Josh had a beautiful wedding and it was great fun working with them. Congratulations!

Aloha, I'm Mark Holladay Lee. I'm a husband, father, surfer and photographer. I didn't realize how much I would love being a professional photographer until I became a father while living in New York City. All the creative energy in that city combined with all the emotions of becoming a dad, lit up my passion with the camera. I was able to learn from some great photographers while living in the city, but my earliest learning with the art, goes back to childhood when I watched my mother work as a photographer. I remember how she crafted a darkroom in whatever house we lived in and decorated our home with pictures from our family travels. She gave me my first camera and first studio lights.
Fast forward several years and here I am living in Hawaii with my family, enjoying every minute of combining my love of people with my love of creating art. I not only photograph people with studio lights, but I photograph in the ocean, from a helicopter, at the beach, in the mountains, and other incredible locations throughout Hawaii. I may sometimes act as a fly on the wall, documenting a moment as it naturally unfolds. Other times I may be actively posing a large group of people in a formal setting. Many times I am capturing life with my family, freezing memories that bring us so much joy to look back on.
